Large-scale Russian Assaults Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were hurt while residents in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered disruption to water supplies, as stated by city officials.

At the same time, a young boy was killed in a different aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, according to area administrators.

Moscow has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "substantial measures" from allies to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty missiles targeted energy facilities, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were striving to fix the damage.

A series of attacks struck energy infrastructure and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from city authorities.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured intense attacks during nighttime hours. A seven-year-old child was killed and several individuals were hurt.

The strikes succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are occupied by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told the media that Russia was purposely seeking to destroy the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and officials were bracing for additional strikes.
